need help in understanding the instructions in knitting pattern?
the pattern says to separate sleeves from body.
next rnd: knit front sts,place next 36 sts for the first sleeve on scrap yarn to be worked later, knit back sts, place next 36 sts for second sleeve on scrap yarn to be worked later. - 112 sts left on needle. place a removable marker in the first front st and the first back st.
what i dont understand is the beginning part, how many times do i knit front sts? is it the 36 that i put onto scrap yarn?
or do i knit 1 front st, then slip the next 36 sts onto scrap yarn?
this pattern is the textured tunic from "Fitted Knits" by Stefanie Japel.

knit 56 stitches, place the next 36 stitches for the sleeve on a holder or scrap piece of yarn, knit 56, place the next 36 stitches for the second sleeve on a holder or scrap piece. you should have 112 stitches on your needle at the end of that round.
place a stitch marker once you are done with the above row. this tells you where the beginning of the row starts, know knit 56 stitches and place a different color stitch marker here, that tells you where the front starts and the back ends.
