What should i do with dead cockatiel eggs?
My cockatiel chick is now 12 days old eyes open, can stand up fine. the other eggs are DIS (dead in shell) i candles them and confirmed they were fertilised. i want to know how or why they may have died?
i also have taken them out because people have told me but i dont know weather it will disrupt them taking care of the chick should i put them back in?
Your chick is 12 days old .so it is best to remove the dead in shell eggs but over as many days as there are eggs.
This way will not upset the parents.
There could be a number of reasons for them being dead in shell. the parents diet,if the hen was disturbed when brooding and the eggs were chilled there are numerous reason ,so be prepared next time they breed a good natural diet and no disturbance,
