Candle Making - Making Scented Candles
Scented candles are very beautiful, they are lots of fun to make at home or for selling. If you interested in making scented candles then you should keep reading.
First of all supplies that you need: Wax, Wicks, Colors and Scents. Actually colors and scents are not really needed, but if you want to make your candles look better you should consider getting those supplies.
The process is easy, keep an eye on the process all the time, once the wax has melted, it's ready to be poured. If you're using colors now it's right time to put them in, but be careful not to use too much. If you're also using scent add this as well.
Next step is to put the wax into the mold, it will probably shrink a little so you might need to add a little more. Now it's time to use skewer and insert the wick to center of the candle. If the wick is a long you might want to trim it a little.
This was the most basic way of making scented candles, candle making is an ancient art and there are lots of methods. If you're serious about making candles as hobby or for profit I would recommend you getting a book. There are many candle making books available, just make sure it covers everything about candle making – you don't need to have more than one book.
