Could any Mary Kay consultants out there tell me how they paid for their initial inventory?
I am trying to make a decision on what type of inventory package to get and they all cost a pretty decent chunk of change. I would really prefer to not take the money out of our own personal bank accounts because I want my Mary Kay stuff to be entirely separate. My director suggested a loan from a family member or a credit card. I would just like to hear what some other people did to get started 
I agree do not use personal savings for business expense if you want a full store either take out a loan or open a chase credit card that is the one offered through MK.
I started with the lowest amount to see how things went it was hard building not always having things people wanted but I was worried doing more. I now have a full store. Go where you are comfortable is your Director doing a debut for you ??? if so she will sell and get bookings for you it's okay to schedule that right away take orders then place you first. Talk to your Director be honest about your situation.
Remember you are going to sell what you show (mostly you will have people ask for other things) so focus on skin care including eye cream, satin hands and lips mascara eye make up remover
