where is the channel on a wood fireplace?
just bought the house and new homes. Need to know what we do and how it looks.
It a flue, and if you look up into the chimney, you will see a handle to open or close the valve. Open when you start fire and close certain when the fire is under way and it retains the warmth of your back up the chimney, but still leaves the exit of smoke. When you do not close the valve to keep your heat up the chimney, thanks christy
