Decorative votive candle holders as wedding favors?
I have a bunch decorative votive candle holders that I was going to use as ambient lighting with centerpieces on tables, however at the venue we can not use candles. Is there someway I could use these as favors? Is there a unique saying I could use and attach it to the votive? I don't want them to look out of place. They match our theme and color perfectly. All ideas welcome, thanks for the help!
Thanks for all the great ideas, I never thought about the battery opperated tea lights either. The votives are 2" tall x 2 1/2" wide. I have tea lights for them all already. Keep the creative ideas coming! Love all the ideas-thanks much everyone!
Well if you still want to use them as ambient lighting, you can. I've been to quite a few weddings where they've put the battery operated tea lights in the holders instead of real candles. Some even flicker like real candles. I'll post two links where you can buy them in bulk for cheaper. Otherwise if you wanted to turn them into a favor you could put a candle inside it and wrap it in clear plastic or tulle and tie a color coordinating ribbon on top. Or you could get those matching tulle baggies and fill them with some candy and put it inside the candle holder. I'm not sure how big they are so it's hard to say how the candy idea would look, but just giving it as the candle holder with a candle in it would be nice. I recieved one at a wedding and the candle had a monogram sticker of the couple on it. They didn't wrap them either they just lined them all up on a table and guests could grab one as they walked out! Good Luck!!!
